The discussion about this picture is really good. It’s like, once it evolves into a Torterra, it continues to grow (even though dex entries say 7 foot-ish, it’s boring to imagine them all being the same size.)

So since they continue to grow, this Torterra could be hundreds of years old.

I think that’s an amazing headcanon.

I like to think that Mt. Coronet is actually a milennia-old Torterra who died of some plague or something, and one of Regigigas’s last acts before being put to sleep in Snowpoint Temple was to cover it with stone and stuff and put a temple atop it to honor what must have been the mother of all Turtwig
